I lurve shopping :)

It’s been such a good day so far..mostly coz I’ve been off and could have a lie in..This meant I caught up with some TV shows (namely Grey’s Anatomy, Fringe and Bones).

I was going to go swimming today but as I still  have an allergic reaction I didn’t want to irritate my skin with chlorine. Instead I did Jillian Micheals’ No more trouble zones and really enjoyed it and then hit the gym for my normal one hour workout (calories burnt 860 in 1h45 mins not too shabby eh?)

But what made my workout so much better was the fact that these got delivered

Reebok Traintones!!!!! They feel so comfy and are very well cushioned..they also made my workouts harder by making it slightly more difficult to keep my balance. They are £75 at reebok website but as I signed up for their newsletter I got £15 off a purchase over £50 so at £60 they were bargainlicious

Do they not look pretty?

No food pics as I was mostly grazing but I had porridge duh, plenty of fruit, eat natural bar, some Cheerios and I am about to head out for a meal with my friend and I shall be having Steak, jacket potato, grilled tomato and onions, will see about the dessert 😉

Have you bought anything recently that you had been excited about?

3 Hour long Les Mills marathon

Work went quickly today, mostly as I am off tomorrow so was about tying loose ends etc rather than starting any new big projects…which was good as I planned to do 3 Les Mills classes after work ( I am not crazy I swear)

First up was BodyPump (5.30-6.30). For those of you unfamiliar with the class here’s a bit of an explanation for ya:

BODYPUMP™ is the original barbell class that strengthens your entire body. This 60-minute workout challenges all your major muscle groups by using the best weight-room exercises like squats, presses, lifts and curls. Great music, awesome instructors and your choice of weight inspire you to get the results you came for – and fast! Like all the LES MILLS™ programs, a new BODYPUMP™ class is released every three months with new music and choreography.

I had to wear both of my knee supports as squats are not my friends at present time but still  enjoyed the class.

Next up was BodyCombat(6.30-7.30):

BODYCOMBAT™ is the empowering cardio workout where you are totally unleashed. This fiercely energetic program is inspired by martial arts and draws from a wide array of disciplines such as karate, boxing, taekwondo, tai chi and muay thai. Supported by driving music and powerful role model instructors, you strike, punch, kick and kata your way through calories to superior cardio fitness. Like all the LES MILLS™ programs, a new BODYCOMBAT™ class is produced every three months with new music and choreography.

This absolutely rocked and I can not wait till new release which we will hopefully start on Monday 🙂

Lastly there was BodyBalance (7.30-8.30pm):

BODYBALANCE™ is the Yoga, Tai Chi, Pilates workout that builds flexibility and strength and leaves you feeling centered and calm. Controlled breathing, concentration and a carefully structured series of stretches, moves and poses to music create a holistic workout that brings the body into a state of harmony and balance. Like all the LES MILLS™ programs, a new BODYBALANCE™ class is released every three months with new music and choreography. (For copyright reasons, BODYBALANCE™ is known as BODYFLOW™ in the USA).

This was soo good as I needed to stretch badly after all the workouts…overall I burnt over 960 calories, which I was pretty pleased with.

Getting back to the start…my breakfast was a bowl of Cheerios, banana flavoured milk, half a banana and some coconut sprinkled over it.

For lunch I had stuffed cabbage (Polish thing, meat rice molded into balls wrapped in cabbage leaves and cooked in tomato sauce), 3 small slices of organic brown bread and some cauliflower and broccoli

and a massive fruit salad (honeydew melon, peach and a plum)

To not pass it at the gym I had porridge with fresh strawberries and almond flakes plus skimmed milk for my tea

After 3 hrs of working out I was starving so I had Special K cereal with more strawberries, another nectarine and 3 pears.

Grand plans

I had such grand plans for today..Insanity dvd before work workout afters..cue 6.25 am today when I woke up extremely tired and very sore…this may have something to do with me having burned off over 900 calories yesterday by doing over 2h 20 mins of exercise..I had to talk myself into taking it easy today for the greater good.

I definitely think I need to reevaluate my workout schedule for next week coz I am putting too much strain on my legs and don’t want to have to take few weeks off due to injuries. I also need to start tracking food again me thinks

Another reason I haven’t been posting food pics since my fridge freezer broke is because I know I haven’t been eating enough, which doesn’t help when I exercise so much. Any tips of that guys?

I did take pictures of most of my food today so here they come

breakfast (cheerios, half a banana, cashew nuts, banana flavoured milk)

Snack (protein shake and 10x wholegrain crackers)

Lunch (gherkin soup with small potato and steamed chicken breast)

Fruit coctail

another snack

I won’t be posting now till Sun evening as heading to Manchester tomorrow for my friend’s hen do..Have fun 🙂

Roll on next Tuesday…

I finished and emailed my supervisor the final draft of my dissertation..at 3.35am this morning none the less and THEN decided it was still a good idea to drag myself out of bed at 6.35 am so i could do my usual 40 lengths at 7 am..even I know I may be tad obsessed with exercise…

In the end I was glad I went as it did help with relieving knee pains but tomorrow, right after hairdressers appointment I’m getting some decent knee support sleeves. I knew I’d need to get some sooner or later seeing as 10 years of professional figure skating didn’t exactly do wonders for my knees nor my back. I think it’s the addition of insanity which includes lots of plyometrics moves is what finally peeved my knees off royally.

So tomorrow is looking insanely busy with insanity in the morning, hairdressers, getting knee supports, meeting with my supervisor, quick gym workout and hopefully a nice evening with a friend?

Before I showcase my not so impressive Tuesday food I gotta share my massive achievement. For the first time in a long time I burnt over 1200 calories in one day (thanks to combo of insanity, bodycombat and bodypump). Even more surprisingly, I was not even that tired so I think I will stick with that great trio for Mondays 🙂

Now onto my food: breakfast was eaten at the gym alas no pictures but consisted of raspberries, blackberries, redcurrants, strawberries, red berry Special K, toasted almonds and strawberry flavoured milk.

To tide me over till lunch I had a protein shake

Lunch consisted of sweet baked potato, fishfingers on mountains of cabbage, broccoli and cauliflower

Followed by fruit salad (honeydew melon, blueberries, peach and kiwi)

I also had a bag of lemon Special K nibbles and for tea I had scrambled eggs and two toast (no pics sorry) and when I still felt hungry I had another one of those beauties

I am not ashamed to admit that Cheerios is like crack to me and can eat it at any time and in any form 🙂
